Airfreight from the Netherlands to Miami

For in bond transhipment via air cargo charter from Opa Locka/Mia to Freeport shipyard.

Our Client for this Shipment:

Our client was a cruise line subcontractor, installing GRE pipe for a scrubber on a vessel in dry dock at the Grand Bahama shipyard.

These crates of GRE pipe were produced in the Netherlands and picked up by our partner in Amsterdam.  After the shipment was flown to Miami airport, we moved the shipment in bond to the Opa Locka airport for immediate uplift to an ongoing dry dock in Freeport.

You’re looking at the cargo being staged for loading onto this DC-6 all-cargo plane, based out of Opa Locka airport. It took two flights to accommodate all this cargo The loading started at 08:00 in OPF and the final piece was offloaded at the Freeport airport at 15:00.

The total transit time from the supplier’s warehouse in Hardenberg Netherlands to vessel in Freeport was 90 hours.  Our ship spare teams in the Netherlands and Miami worked hard to make sure this material was delivered on time, so the project could be completed.
